This ball adapter (for lawn tractors) is good equipment for $20. It comes with a 3/4 inch bolt, nut and two washers for connecting to the tractor. At your local hardware store just these four items would cost you between $10-$15 if you had to buy them. However, the existing hole that this device attaches to the back of the tractor is 1/2 inch on my 20hp Simplicity tractor. So head to the hardware store to install a 1/2 inch stainless steel fastener that costs over $8. It mounts easily after that, but like other reviewers have said, no matter how hard you tighten, no matter how much force you can apply. be tightened, this bracket can still rotate if the object to be pulled is heavy enough, e.g. B. a boat for a cargo trailer. I haven't tried it, but I managed to move it with my foot. So, following another reviewer's advice, I solved the problem by drilling a small extra hole in the bracket and through the tractor's metal "lip" next to the factory hole and inserting a small screw. The end of the problem, attachment "like a stone". The recommendation to the factory would be to ship the product with the 1/2" mounting hardware and the extra hole already drilled. Then this article has full 5 stars.
