Our garage door is showing its age after 14 years. I bought this door brush, took off the old one and put this one on. Cut it slightly shorter than the width of the door with a saw. After opening and closing the door a few times to verify operation and cleaning height, I drilled some pilot holes and used the screws provided. The door sweep has worked extremely well for the past month. Initially, the friction kept the door from closing on its own, but the slats loosened, or maybe wore a little, so the movement was smooth.
