Perfect for any application. I have one on my Nvidia Shield and one on my Fire TV Cube. Everything works fine for the Shield.controls screen and my TV volume. The Fire TV Cube was a little different. I couldn't get the volume buttons to control my TV when the USB dongle was plugged in. So I unplugged USB, manually programmed to control my TV, and switched HDMI CEC to control. Fire TV Cube. It works, but the functionality of the keyboard is gone. Not the remote's fault, but the problem is that the Fire TV Cube doesn't allow the remote to change the volume. Echo voice control is used to change the TV volume.
