I ordered this phone holder because it almost completely holds the phone over the CD slot. However, with this usage, the button on the back that you need to press to loosen the knobs is directly above the button used to tighten the CD slot knob. This causes two problems. First, there isn't enough room for your finger to press the release button without tipping the holder forward. Second, when I try to adjust the mount so that the phone is pointed at my face, the release button hits the CD tray handle and the phone is released. I can still use this holder but it's uncomfortable. I will start looking for an alternative. Update: I couldn't find an alternative mount for the phone. I ended up cutting off most of the handle to get some clearance. What was left of the handle was a piece I could pinch and tighten with pliers. Pliers are now required to remove or install in the CD slot, but I'm fine with that. Now I can point the phone at my face and still have room to put my finger on the shutter button.
