I had a "nice" set of heavy plastic salt and pepper grinders that I loved. But as the years go by, the grinding wears off. They also had a coffee grinder on the bottom, so if you sit on it you're likely to find very small bits of salt or pepper oozing out of the grinding mechanism. In comparison, this is a dream! Easy to clean, glass instead of plastic, grinder sits on top and has a lid (so no more mess) and includes an extra attachment for each grinder just in case. My favorite place? No more inserting a long metal stick or piling it around and losing small salt rocks and peppercorns all over the place. They are so easy to fill. Pour, seal and done! Too bad I found her a long time ago. ONLY a shortcoming? And he's small. There are no instructions. Not a big deal for potting and filling, but helpful if you ever need to change the grinder part.
