I used it on a motorcycle. It may not be designed for this.
My 45 year old bike ran but showed high voltage. I wasn't concerned it's not weatherproof but I don't ride this bike in the rain it can get foggy. After a little over a month it started to work erratically and then just broke down one day during my trip. Although the Bosch should have been of better quality, my bike is a touring bike so I didn't think it was going to be a rough ride, I'm older and can't handle this type of riding. I replaced it with a digital waterproof unit which I like better.
