Review on Expand Your iPhone and iPad Storage with SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Go - 256GB Capacity by Wendy Amorina

Great for watching digitized movies

I originally bought this because I didn't want to fill up all the storage space on my iPad via iTunes Sync. I wanted to be able to carry my digital movies with me so I could watch them anywhere without lugging around a bulky portable hard drive and worrying about damaging it. Well, while I can't carry *the whole* collection around with me (it's only 256GB), this little device fits the bill perfectly. I've easily filled it with enough movies and TV shows to keep me busy for days (if only the iPad battery had lasted that long, lol!). It also makes it easier to transfer other types of files between my computer and iPad without having to "sync" all the time. What I like the most is the iPad app that you can download with this device. It's quite expensive, but for me it's worth it. I spent a lot of time embedding information into my digital movies when creating them from my DVD collection, like adding graphic covers, synopses, actors, etc. even creating .srt files so I could add subtitles could turn on and off if I wanted to . The SanDisk iXpand app allows me to view my .mp4 files on the flash drive and actually *read* the metadata I put into the file (so I can view it as if I was reading the file from Buy and download iTunes). This is a big thing for me. Usually you only see the movie's screen (not necessarily the title screen) and the filename along the side, and that's the only way you'll know which movie you're about to watch. But it allows me to scroll through my movie covers instead of reading a long list of filenames. Best of all I can waste time on long drives or in long lines etc and not rely on internet access, wifi, cellular or anything to be able to see.
