Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens, black by Athit Nivongsa ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

This lens produces an image that is very high in quality and has an outstanding level of sharpness. Very immediately, you find yourself falling in love with him. It works wonderfully in terms of producing portraits. With the pinpoint accuracy and lightning-fast speed of the focussing, nobody has any complaints. This is a true vintage rendition of fifty bucks. But, there are some downsides. And the implications are significant. 1) An extremely pronounced chromatic aberration. While filming outside, they stand up very clearly in regions of the frame with a lot of contrast. In some cases, it will not be possible to delete them from the software. Strong and sturdy construction. It is very simple to harm the trunk that extends from the lens by merely pressing the lens a little bit (I did damage it). After that, the focus ring will become stuck, and the lens will need to be taken to the service center to be fixed. To be used with caution at all times. Never, ever set the lens of the camera down. And the best course of action is to affix a hood to it as soon as possible and to keep it on at all times.

Pros
  • Excellent, razor-sharp, starting at f/2.0. Lovely bokeh. Strong contrast as well as accurate color reproduction. A light burden or burden. Acceptable pricing.
Cons
  • A significant amount of chromatic aberration. Robust and durable construction.
