I agree with others that they are not the same. I have found that I have to put in extra time and effort to make these filters easier to empty. They tend to slow down to a slow drop midway. All the other filters I've used didn't have this problem before I poured hot water over my coffee grounds and I could see them filling and draining fairly evenly. Now I stand there to adjust the filter, grab a spoon and throw the dirt around to help the brew or the water won't get through.
