Small but soft. My Shitsu York mix weighs about 11 pounds. It's a bit long for a Shih Tzu, its length is good, but it's difficult to close in one piece with velcro on the belly. Velcro is a very long strip from chest to buttocks, not left to right, so that's what happened. The material is very soft. The hood doesn't bother him, but you didn't force him to wear it. You can still tell that he's there when he's just lying on his back. The buckle part is very cheap to put on, otherwise it's a nice little $12 outfit.
