If you use these eyes on realistic creatures, they're awful. The pupil is too small. Most animals have very large pupils. They are suitable for unusual animals and critters. They are easy to pierce felt animals. They would be ideal if the iris were smaller and the pupil larger. I'm new to felting and am learning a lot the hard way. I can't learn from videos. But as with any activity, the better the equipment, the easier it is. And if you want realistic eyes, spend your money and get the best eyes for your creations. For the safety of eyes that would be difficult to drill into a felted animal, cut off the backing and glue the eye to the felted animal. Works perfectly.
