Good for cotton, not for synthetics
We bought these because my daughter has eczema, and her dermatologist thought it might help to eliminate dryer sheets. After a month of use, I'd say they're just as good as dryer sheets at fluffing and eliminating static in all-cotton loads. For loads containing synthetic fabrics, they're not nearly as good -- they fluff, but the static is still substantial. This is not a huge issue for us, as we tend towards 100% cotton clothes and linens anyway, but if you have a lot of synthetic fabrics, it could be annoying.We have a large 7.3 cu. ft. dryer, so I use all 6 balls in each load.
