My dog yelps, yelps and barks almost constantly when someone enters the room. However, since I don't like shock collars, I found this alternative and decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed, this one works great. First, it is very easy to use. Comes with four AAA batteries and then you just push the button, couldn't be easier. Second, it works. When my dog yelped and barked I just pointed and said no, pushed the button and WOW, my dog just stopped and got on all fours. Then my dog was just waiting for me to decide what to do next. Now that I have it in my arms, she just waits, doesn't whine or bark, it's so nice now. It feels like he just tamed her. I can't say it would work on all dogs, but only mine. Finally, I just think it's great that it doesn't harm my dog. She doesn't fall over like she's in pain, it's more confused, WHAT IS THIS? And besides, it looks like she'd rather not hear it again. My thoughts are everything. No cons, worked really great for me where I'm very happy with the purchase.
