Review on πŸ“Ά Renewed Linksys EA6350 Wi-Fi Wireless Dual-Band+ Router: High-Speed Gigabit & USB Ports by Elijah Balzarini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great performance, great price

Great deal on an AC router. This replaced the Linksys E2000, which still worked well but was outdated. The new routers feature simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and a new AC standard. This router was easy to set up. All of my wired and wireless PCs, laptops, tablets and phones connected to it with no issues. Of course, I've only had it for a few days, but I'm very happy with its performance. My cable modem delivers speeds of around 100-130 Mbps. I get about 55+ Mbps in the same room and about 35+ throughout the house. The delay is between 25 and 65 milliseconds. The router's firmware includes a wizard that will guide you through the setup. Worked great and is very easy to use. I switched all my devices to the 5GHz band. The only downside I found is that it comes with outdated firmware. I would have thought that a refurbished product would be flashed to the latest version. I ran the update and now it's in the latest version. No problem. You can spend $200 or more on AC routers, but if you don't need maximum speed, these basic AC models are great. UPDATE (5-17-16) I've had the router for a few months now. with small problem. I think I restarted it twice in that whole time. The signal is very reliable, although for longer distances I switched back to the 2.4GHz band for better performance. I'm not saying others don't have problems, but everything works for me. I'll save that until the next generation of routers come out.
