First let me say that the characters are very cute and the colors are nice - I chose red/blue. The thickness of the shoe seems good and it feels soft. I ordered one size up for my son to give him room to grow and it lasted a while. To my surprise, he complained that he was tense. Then the shoes twisted sideways when walking.
