Not suitable for Hero8 camera and camera

I bought this dome camera on the advice that it would fit the Hero8 camera. I tried it for the first time today after ordering it a few weeks ago. It is not suitable for Hero8. disappointed because I wanted to use it for a documentary project I will be shooting next week.
