Please someone tell my cats "You're doing this wrong " 😂

We bought this cat cave after we adopted our tomcat Asher because he was wild, very scared of people and loved places where to hide. Unfortunately, both cats have decided that the den is actually a bird's nest shaped bed and flatly refuse to use it properly (operator error?) no matter how many times I put it back in the den. However, if they are comfortable then I am happy and they hold up well to their use and abuse.
