You'll never run out of USB slots. This version 3.0 hub costs the same as the version 2.0 hub but supports faster devices. I have two and use them all the time. They also reduce wear and tear on your computer's USB ports. I don't know about you, but I have a lot more problems with 3.0 ports than 2.0 ports. As such, I do NOT want to plug and unplug devices into my computer's slots. They're much easier to plug into the hub ports. Even if I damage the hub slot, it's easy to replace, but the computer slot is a different situation. I would also not wear and/or damage computer slots.
