If you have a Microsoft Surface 3 and not a Pro, why didn't you spend money on it? Only $15?!?!?!? This is a well-designed docking station with 4 additional USB ports, Ethernet port, mini display port, headphone jack, Kensington lock. It charges the tablet and keeps it in the right position. I have a Logitech keyboard instead of a Microsoft Surface keyboard. It works fantastic. It even holds your pen to the surface with a magnet. This is a well built dock. This turns the Surface 3 into a fully-fledged desktop (as far as the Intel Atom processor is capable of it). Did I mention it's only $15? I mean ok You can't buy a charging cable at this price, it's 6 accessories in one! At first I thought something was wrong with their price. Maybe he's recovered. Maybe it's a scratch or a dent. Maybe it's just a bad foreign clone. It is not. None of those things. This is a brand new Microsoft Surface 3 Dock in proper Microsoft packaging. I guess it's just overkill and since the Surface 3 is at least 2 generations old (but still very usable) they're just trying to get rid of what they have. If you have a Microsoft Surface 3 (not Pro), get this again. There's really no point in not doing it. Ask your mom for permission if it makes you feel better. PS Sorry for some photos with potatoes.
