Review on Healthy Nonstick Saucepan With Lid For Stove Top Cooking - SENSARTE 1.5 Quart Nonstick Pot With Glass Lid, PFOA Free by Michael Norwood

Loses it’s coating while cooking

I was surprised at the texture of this nonstick pot, it felt like rough bumpy pickup truck bedliner. Really weird. I boiled up some water gradually for about 5 minutes, noticed water bubbling out of the middle of the lid handle, gathering on the lid rim. The lid isn’t a snug fit so steam escapes the sides and can’t build inside. Also, the lid was making a little glass cracking sound every now and then. But the worst part is, after I poured out the water and let it sit, I felt the saucepan and it had lost enough coating to be smooth feeling just from boiling some water. I couldn’t believe it. I knew if I ran a paper towel over the coating, dust would rub off so I swiped it over and yep … gray dust. I normally wouldn’t paper towel nonstick, but it shouldn’t come off like this. I don’t trust this brand at all. I don’t even want to try black non-stick material anymore, this just really made me not trust it

Pros
  • Good value and design. On my induction cooktop, Wish it heated up just a little faster.
Cons
  • The lid may not fit securely
