It doesn't seem to turn off.
We bought this as a repair/charger and only use it after charging the batteries with the factory 20 amp car charger. It never turned off or turned green even after 24 hours. When disconnected, it turns green and stays there even if reconnected immediately.
- Fully automatic charger 36V, 5A for overnight charging. Overnight charging typically takes 4-7 hours depending on the condition of your batteries. It has a trickle charge mode that suits your batteries better. This increases both battery life and performance. The trickle charge mode also prevents overcharging. The charger has two LEDs to indicate the charging status. The charger works with the usual 110 volts for the USA.
