I bought it at the end of July 2020 and it still works - of course it should, but you read about third-party lamps that can't even last a few months of use. I just checked and found that this bulb has been used 387 "normal" hours (vs Eco). This lamp appears to be as bright as the one that came with my original Vivitek projector, although obviously I couldn't do AB testing. It was a very good price compared to what OEM bulbs would have cost (if they were still in production). ) and at a fair price among comparable third-party lamps. It's already over $10 cheaper than when I bought it, which stinks, but they break! I spent an extra $6 on the protection plan just to be sure as there is no way of knowing how long this lamp should last and the company that sells it only has a 30 day guarantee against lamp defects. Given the very mixed experiences I've read across many reviews of various third-party lights, this seems like a reasonable choice. But I've decided to write a review to give some peace of mind to those who are also considering this lamp as a replacement. . 5 months is not the longest period of time for a projector lamp, but at least it still works for me.
