I don't know why, but some small kitchen items seem to fit and work better than others. They've become my personal favorite for small cutting jobs, and they hold the edge well enough with a sharpener to cut through soft tomatoes with ease. The handles have no protruding seams, the front "guard" that goes down where the blade meets the handle doesn't get in the way, and they're light and comfortable in the hand. Sure, they might not fit in your hand either, but I just ordered five for my original purchase so I always have a clean one in my desk drawer.
