Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ GasOne GS-8300 - Compact Butane Stove with Carrying Case - Portable & Foldable Camping Stove by Alfonso Alexander

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable car camping stove at an affordable price.

This single burner butane gas stove has excellent performance. It fits snugly in the case, is light but strong, has piezo ignition and offers good flame control. All at a price that won't break your budget. I've used it on several hikes with no problems. No, I don't know how long it takes to boil 1 liter of water. What I do know is that an 8-ounce can of butane was enough to boil water for coffee, make freeze-dried meals, and reheat cakes for a 5-person dinner and breakfast party. Thus, the stove burns efficiently. Setup is easy and you can start cooking in less than a minute. A few upgrades could make this stove perfect for car camping. First, there's no windshield on the burner, which a manufacturer can easily add with a redesign. If that's not the case, you'll have to buy a separate windshield - not too big. I bought a $10 GasOne windshield (search B01HH5YEIE on Revain) which works great with the stove. Secondly, there is no place in the body of the stove to store a bottle of butane. Again, it's fine if you come by car. Chances are you already have a camp boat stowed away, so a few small butane canisters won't be too much of a nuisance. Although it would be nice if the manufacturer changed the case design and added a dedicated storage space for at least 1 butane canister. The advantages of this stove far outweigh the limitations I mentioned above, and this stove is still worth your full attention when buying a good camping stove at a reasonable price.
