Review on Rainy Day Bernat POP! - 5Oz Medium Gauge 100% Acrylic Yarn by Junior Andreano

The wonderful thing about these yarns is the color changes that make it self-striping. Unfortunately, several of the 8 skeins needed per afghan had the colors wound in reverse, which is a problem if you aren't aware of it in time, and a nuisance, even if you realize it.This yarn also varies in consistency, sometimes becoming so thin I had to cut out lengths of spindly yarn and re-start where the yarn was thicker. Often when the colors change there is not a smooth transition, but a small, tight knot holding the colors together.I've now made 6 afghans with this yarn, and love the way it makes its own design. But for the price, I think the quality should be better. If it were available in another brand (and still 100% acrylic), I would try that.
