When I'm stressed/anxious in life, I grind my teeth more often because I go to bed stressed. I tried to sleep well at night, but always woke up with severe headaches, jaw pain, and exhaustion. My teeth grinding not only affected me, but also my spouse because of the noise I was making. I immediately cut them and shaped them into teeth. The instructions were very easy to follow. As instructed, I apply it about 20 minutes before bed to get used to it. It was something of an adjustment, but by the time I fell asleep I was already used to it. I woke up the next morning with no headache or jaw pain! The guard didn't leave a strange plastic taste in my mouth. If I went to the dentist for a professional kit, it would cost me a lot more money for a product of the same quality. I am very happy with this product and so far no headaches/jaw pains.
