The floor inside the tent rustles and makes noises which our granddaughters love. There is a window next to the door and it was more fun for her to look out and for grandpas to look in than you can imagine. They slept in it too. It kept their bodies warm and they didn't need a blanket. We only used this tent indoors. I don't think I would let her sleep outside. There's only fabric and a few ties to keep the door closed, so it's not safe outside.
