It took about 10 hours for this thing to work for my application but I was finally able to do it. I'm not deducting a star for that because I think it's a problem with all these TFT screens and my particular application. I like the refresh rate and the button to turn off the display backlight - it's nice to be able to reduce power consumption and heat. The detail seems to be done decently and I had no issues with the screen itself. Here are the steps I took to get OctoDash working on rPi - I hope this helps someone. 1) Install OctoPrint on SD card, insert SD card into rPi. , update OctoPrint to the latest version via browser UI 2) connect the screen to the rPi, skip the manufacturer provided drivers as they don't work well with the latest versions of things on pi. Install the WaveShare driver instead (search for "waveshare 3.5inch RPi LCD (A)"). The page should have a driver to install, as well as instructions on how to rotate the screen if needed - worked great when I rotated it 180 degrees (didn't have to 'calibrate' anything). Reboot - the screen should now load and then flip properly (if configured) 3) Install OctoDash using the provided install script, choose to load the app automatically on device startup. 4) Install xf86-video-fbturbo (search for "xf86-video-fbturbo github") with instructions from your github. Reloading after the last step should allow you to see the output on screen, rotate it to the correct orientation (if configured to do so) and then load it into OctoDash.
