Review on πŸšͺ Idea Pet Products White Screen Guard Pet Door by Jamie Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love it SO SO MUCH and the value is amazing!

With all the fake Revain reviews lately (come on Revain, that's annoying!) I was just very skeptical at how positively people were speaking about this door. If you read just one line of my review. YOU'RE RIGHT - IT'S COOL. I was desperate for a backyard dog door that would require the least amount of "damage" to my house like sawing a hole through the wall to install. . I also didn't want anything to look ugly or interfere with the sliding glass door's function, like those continuous inserts that ruin the clear glass look to the outside and reduce the sliding door's opening. and they were expensive! I've read almost every review, researched other similar products, and even put the purchase on hold to "think about it". I'm explaining all this to show that I'm basically picky as a sin. So much so that I made sure to return before buying. MUST HAVE A SECURITY SCREEN DOOR. Def would not recommend without it. The door has significant weight, which is great because it's strong and durable, but won't hold up without a protective screen. I'm pretty sure you can put a guard on almost any screen door. The longest part of the installation was deciding where to place it. I have a German Shepherd mix - about 85 pounds (very large juuusssttt fits him - wish there was a different size but just so as not to ruin it - he uses it perfectly). In hindsight, I could have placed it about an inch lower, since it has to make a small jump from the outside to the inside with a small step up. Even where I posted it is fine - I'm just a perfectionist. There is a template that you stick on the door. Cut INSIDE the template, not around it. I would suggest the floor is most aligned to go straight as the weight is mostly sitting and this is the best way to ensure you install the door straight. Minor errors are possible as the door and panel have a 2 inch bezel covering the opening. Depending on your screen protector, you'll need good sharp cutters, but I had a Dremmel tool that took a few minutes to cut. Hole. IF YOU ARE USING a Dremmel, suggest putting a piece of wood between the net and the guard to ensure you don't gnaw through the net. This way you can get a nice clean cut with a straight razor. 100% First cut off the protective cover, then cut off the screen with a razor blade. Screw in a few screws and BAM - NO MORE ERRORS! Yyyaaayyyyyyu! I'm honestly excited and satisfied with this product. Admittedly I just got it and not sure if it will last 1000+ with ins and outs but for now I am sure I will be very happy that it will last long enough considering how much it costs and how easy it was set up. Small wins are still nice ;)
