I have many kinds of oils in my closet and these corks have proven to be the finest ever made for speed and convenience. The little hinged lid saves the hassle of chasing the removable lid - I seem to ALWAYS drop them and they're somehow transported to another dimension, lost forever (probably under the stove). I even use these flip top caps in soy sauce, commonly used vinegars, and other sauce bottles that I keep in the fridge. So quick to take and pour, no fiddling with lids. Some friends love a certain whiskey that comes in a very nice bottle, so they are on the alert to save those bottles for me. I poured fresh vegetable oil into one and used vegetable oil (finely sieved and then run through a coffee filter) into the other. So when I fry something in a pan, the used oil goes in. Salads and other dishes receive fresh oil. It's easy to tell which is which because the used oil is a bit darker, although I think it would be possible to label them to know for sure. One reviewer mentioned that the vinegar flows out of these drains too quickly. I have two suggestions. 1) Insert a toothpick into the vent tube of the stopper. Thus there is no backflow of air and the liquid flows much more slowly. 2) Rotate the bottle so the tube curves up instead of down. Easier to control. I will buy more of these corks. I love her!
