Review on 🔥 ATOMSTACK A5 Pro Laser Engraver: 40W Cutting Machine for Wood & Compressed Spot CNC Carving DIY Master by Doris Tran

My first laser engraver was a small handheld I wanted to see how much I like it but didn't know they have an inexpensive CNC like platform and other reviews read , decided to try this one. I don't think the setup itself is that difficult. I would strongly recommend mounting the unit on a very flat surface like a table or in my case I have two stacks of MDF with Formica on top if I'm working on wood and need a very flat surface. The hard part is finding the driver in at least Windows 10. There is a driver called CH340 that you want to google, download and install a software called Lightburn. After installing the software and downloading the driver, you can connect the laser to the Lightburn software and start playing. around with sample files, including forms and other templates. There's a lot of things to consider to get this set up properly, but you'll need to manually move the device to the 0, 0 position, which you can see with the pre-printed ruler on the frame and body where the laser is. After that you should measure the size of the part you want to engrave and enter this into your project file. The rest just controls speed and power, and while there are so many features I haven't even tried, this works really well. As this is a laser engraver it will obviously produce smoke, especially with woodwork and I recommend using a good quality fume hood or some air cleaning method to keep the smoke alarm from going off. Obviously, the deeper and slower you engrave, the more smoke will be produced. The device is very quiet except for a high speed fan running just above the laser to cool the diode, but I'm very happy with the performance 😃
