My daughter is very petite (52lbs, 49in) and usually wears a 7-8, she's almost 10. I should though I paid attention to the reviews because the size 8 I bought her was too, too small. As she is also small for her age, I was hesitant to buy her a 10 due to the zippers on the legs would be very difficult to roll. I had to shake her up and couldn't, and my friend assured me that once she got wet it would be almost impossible to get it off her. had to return, the fabric was very thick and probably would have kept her warm.
