It's easy to work with and doesn't crumble
I used this to insulate the adapter that fits in the window of a freestanding one room air conditioner. The adapter has a profile of 6.5" x 0.5" and this insulation can be easily trimmed and beveled for a perfect fit. I covered it with a 3/8" thick pine overlay to match the existing woodwork so the R-value of the adapter is now higher than the window itself.
