I've been buying these for a few years now and although the handle on my Hoover Platinum upright vacuum broke and I had to have a jury build it to hold it together, I'll keep going until I must play taps for vacuum. Portable still works great and these bags are every bit as good as OEM. I remember both styles in PEM were originally thicker but then even Hoover started making them thinner and these aftermarket brands are now up to standard and much more affordable than Hoover OEM bags.
