I ordered this after another HR chest strap broke. I always have the same problem with them, eventually they fail because sweat seeps into them. What got me to try TICKR FIT is this: 1) It's a sealed unit, with less chance of sweat getting in. 2) Battery life compared to Scosche Rhythm+ (Rhythm 24 was out of stock when I ordered). 3) My overall good experience with other Wahoo devices. Few things. First, it's much more comfortable to wear than a chest strap, so that's a plus. However, I would say that the response to heart rate changes seems a bit slower than with a chest strap. Pairing it with my bike computer was trivial and it doesn't need to be charged very often (I've charged it once since I got it, I've done over 170 miles with the strap last week and it's still about 50% charged) . phone app). Overall, the heart rate zones seem to match well with what I got with the chest straps, but I will say that on my first ride I had a few odd minutes where my heart rate dropped into the 70s. I think the problem with this fixation (at the time my heart rate was probably around 140bpm). I only noticed it once. All in all it seems a solid piece of equipment that is definitely preferable to a chest strap for comfort and I'm hoping that it will be more sweat resistant than my 4 previous chest straps that failed due to this issue.
