I bought bone meal because my giant dogs need more nutrients. Their regular dog food didn't have enough protein for weight gain and I had to find an economical way to give them what they needed. I add a little to their food at each feeding and since they gained weight they have gained weight. Their fur feels softer and they have more energy. I would recommend this as a supplement for those using regular dog food.
