They were super shiny. I had originally ordered a large, so I had to re-order. However, when my little one rubbed her feet together, some of the glitter fell off. Some reviews complain that the inside of the shoe was like cardboard material and honestly it seems so, but I didn't mind because I knew my child would only wear these shoes for a short time before eventually growing out. So I didn't mind and no one could see it unless someone took off their shoes and started looking at the inside of the shoe. All in all these were good shoes for a formal wedding and the price wasn't bad at all. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who is on a budget and wants a nice shoe for their kid.
