I love these cabochons and have lots of materials to make killer pendants. The variety of shapes and finishes is great, there is something for everyone (I was so excited to see the squares and tears!). The convex glass fits nicely into the bases, although I do have a small issue with that which I'll address in a moment. The rails are strong and static so your trailer will not dangle or detach from the rail. The bases also have embossed patterns on both sides. So unless you're bitten by a creative bug, you can install one of the glass domes and just wear it as is (or conversely, wear it without the glass). But for those of us who want to put something in the pendant, pay attention to the gap between the edge of the glass and the edge of the tray base. It's small, but depending on the glue you use to attach the backing and glass, the whole thing can fall apart if you put it on and get caught in the rain, or accidentally wear it in the shower and you used some sort of water-soluble glue . I wish the fit was tighter. This set offers excellent value for money and has enough detail for you to experiment with and find the perfect material to create a unique and durable pendant. Just keep the finished product away from water.
