. It seems a lot of people are frustrated that the connector head doesn't fit their monitor. I had the same problem maybe because my monitor is about 4 years old. It was relatively easy to remove the head from the old battery and put it on the new one. I used a small screwdriver (used for clocks) to pry open the plastic tabs holding each of the wires in place. Shilo would probably work too. If you're having trouble connecting your head to a new battery, you can probably connect the leads directly to the device's pins. The ends of the wires are already designed to be wound onto the pins.
