Review on AZEUS Purifier Purification Allergies Ozone Free by Ashley Voisine

Was looking for an air purifier in a certain price range with certain features and good reviews. This one seemed to tick all the boxes. However, the reality turned out to be rather disappointing. The fan does not maintain a constant speed at any speed setting. It seems like it often slows down/speeds up a bit, which is quite distracting. Most people like white noise because they can ignore it - after a while they don't really hear it anymore, they just tune out. Small changes in speed cancel this out - so I know about it all the time. Worse still, the motor hums/hums at lowest RPM and also when decelerating/accelerating and is so annoying when changing pitch that I can't use it at that speed setting. I can hear it through the ceiling fan (which is always quiet) and through the fridge, so I really can't call it quiet. Unfortunately, the mids are almost as loud as the highs, so it kind of defeats the purpose of using them. Again, this is supposed to be 3-stage filtration, but I only see one filter that is in no way labeled as a true HEPA filter, as stated in the product description. There was also a slight plastic/chemical smell when first turned on, but that went away after a few minutes. Although this company claims to have great customer support, this product made such a bad first impression on me that I decided to return it rather than replace it. However, I usually only review products that I really like and rarely offer harsh criticism. but i bought this product mainly because of all the good and bad reviews on here. So I felt it my duty to share my experiences. This may be a good product for most but what I received would have been a disappointment even for half the price I paid.
