No instructions but not required. I set it to 2x12 and attached it to a moveable bench - it works great with all the bikes I've tried. Bike style skewers are great and will hold up in whatever position you put them in. This is a good performing unit and I expect it to last for many years. It's great that you don't have to go to the floor and make the necessary bends to work with switches and such. Just stand there and that's it. Should have bought this many years ago. I would highly recommend this.
