We use Suddenlink and have been paying $20/month for modem/wifi rental for a long time. A friend told me about Orbi, so I took a chance and ordered a modem/WiFi + satellite. Pretty simple build. I have an ISP (Suddenlink) and once they have the MAC address they activate my Orbi and it's amazing. Never had such an internet speed. The satellite is easy to set up when the modem is running. Turn it on and wait 3 minutes. Expands the network enormously. HUGE TIP: Rename your previous WiFi name and password exactly. You don't need to "update" passwords on cell phones, tablets, laptops, or other devices that were connected to a previous WiFi network. Big time saver. After starting, go into the modem settings -) Advanced mode. Rename.
