We originally bought this for my fiancรฉ's very small brushes. It didn't work for him, but it worked great for my makeup brushes. I clean them and hang them on the side of the table. The texture is almost soft, the holders are strong. It works great and I don't have to worry about my brushes falling apart because of water getting back into the tip. It comes in a cute velvet pouch and can be folded away when not in use. I recommend!
