When applying, make sure your hands are clean and wear goggles that don't squeak. These nose pads are for temporary use until my optometrist can fit permanent nose pads. Just don't rub the lenses while cleaning the nasal pillow area. If you're careful, meticulous, and clean with the first application, you won't have a sticky residue on your lenses when you take them off. I recommend them for temporary nose pads. This height of 1.5 was ideal for me.
