It's hard to give a full review after only using the hangars for a week. Having several wooden hangars that are 45 years old and still like new, I will say that many of the hangars I look at today don't look like they made it in a tenth of the time. . A lot of really heavy plastic hangars plasticize after a while and just break. I bought these wooden ones to help my wife organize her wardrobe. They look like they were made by Sewell and I expect them to work well. The spring clips are solid and appear to be well made too. When I compare this hanger to my old hangars, the first thing that strikes me is that the hook is smaller, as is the thickness of the wire used to make the hook. The next thing I notice is that the tab in the wood on top of the hangar looks glued at first glance, as opposed to the rounded boxed-through joint on the old hangar. However, upon closer inspection, the wood of the new suspension reveals a mortise and tenon joint. I can tell you the wood joint looks better in the old hangar but I have a feeling the glue used in the new hangar is probably better than the glue used in the 60's, 70's or 80's. Despite the differences in the new hangars so far so good I can say I was impressed and will definitely be buying them again.
