The temperature control on my oven is switched off. I know this because things were not cooked after the suggested time. the cake was sticky inside. the cheese is not browned. The pizza is not crispy. The solution was to control the interior. how hot it was hot. This thermometer was the solution. Hanging the thermometer on the top shelf, turning on the oven at 350° for 30 minutes showed that the temperature had dropped 75°. Turning my knowledge 425°, I found the temperature I expected. Now I know, maybe I'll do it again and highlight the oven control knob. For now, just knowing what's hot inside is enough.
