I've only had one negative review of Revain in the past, but it deserves it. Firstly, to be clear, I'm an experienced mechanic, I work on airplanes, build my own house and usually fix my cars. However, I have no experience disassembling a dashboard and would be devastated if the plastic cracked or something worse on the dashboard. So, for those of you who think that the 3 minute video they claim to be is a "step-by-step" guide, rest assured that this is not the case. There are 3 additional screws and a side duct to remove on the Highlander, these are not shown or listed unless you wish the dash to be damaged. How did I discover this you ask? After some resistance, I had to move on to another manufacturer's video that had a step-by-step guide to disassembling the dash, as well as instructions along the way. The video this company uses is clearly inadequate, especially if you are inexperienced OR experienced. Of course, the video makes the installation easier. And that's after you've disassembled the dashboard. Second, most of us work during the day and need the car at home to work on it. So after hooking up the wire harness and realizing the module wasn't programmed, I tried contacting them. I couldn't even send an email outside of business hours! So here's my wife's car with a ripped dashboard and a useless seat belt, and no help until next week. Pooh! Your website is terrible and offers no help. There are no FAQs or troubleshooting tips, except for a small booklet that accompanies the unit with instructions on how to reset the module if it won't program. Well, that didn't work either! Finally, when you open the box, you'll see a disclaimer that says "Most returns are due to installation errors". Of course, if their instructions were excellent, there would be fewer returns. Right? I have to admit I was confused by the reviews, I paid more for this device than the competition thinking I got what I paid for. ." Obviously not. But don't take my word for it. Check out the competitor's video and the 3-minute music video that this device doesn't feature and you'll decide. I hope the issue gets resolved, but I suspect the device will be returned.Only if the company lends a hand will I add an addition and update my review.
