Review on πŸ”Œ TSUPY USB C HUB 6 USB 3.0 Port: 10-in-1 Thunderbolt 3 Adapter for MacBook Pro, XPS, Pixelbook and More - 4K HDMI, 100W Fast Power Delivery, SD/microSD Card Reader by Mysocalled Gaultier

USB is fine, but HDMI has problems with the sound.

I liked this Type-C adapter when I ordered it because it comes with 6 USB-A 3.0 ports. Most of them only have 4. I got it for my Dell 9310 XPS laptop which only has USB-C ports. So I can't connect my wireless mouse let alone my DPVR which requires 3 USB-A ports. Enter this adapter. While it can get a bit warm at times, this is generally normal with USB-A. Unfortunately I had a problem with the HDMI connection. To test it, I connected it to a 55-inch flat screen and streamed YouTube videos. The picture looked good and there was no audio lag, however there was a constant popping noise. So I tested NF video but it had the same problem as YT. When I played videos on the laptop itself, there were no pops. For further testing, I connected another computer directly to the same flat panel using the same cable (no adapter) and there was no crackling in the audio. I can only conclude that this TSUPLY adapter has a flaw when it comes to HDMI audio transmission. If you only want to use USB A ports, this might not be a problem for you. But I can't rate a device with such a big disadvantage higher than 3 stars. Another thing I don't like about the adapter is that the bottom is (1) metal, (2) flat, and (3) no legs. That means it will slide anywhere when placed on a smooth surface. If you want to connect a wired mouse to it, you can end up in a very awkward situation. Not to mention being metal it can scratch wood surfaces as well as the underside of the adapter (I got scratches after a few uses).

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
