That does not work! to cables and connections

A few weeks ago my son lost his Nabi Jr. charger so I ordered this replacement cable. It was very difficult to insert into the charging port, it didn't even go all the way in as shown in the picture! And his tablet won't charge. Would not give a purchase recommendation!
