Review on Gear Up for Interactive Learning with Learning Resources Gears Motorized Pieces by Zachary Spaulding

For a 5.5 year old it's a bit difficult to assemble. And some of the details have an orientation that is difficult for younger children to see from directions. The motorized part of the set (3/4 components) doesn't work very well. The gears get stuck all the time and I'm sure it's terrible for the engine. I keep fumbling with the gears to get a tighter fit. Horses on the carousel sometimes get stuck at the top. With any luck we can start the engine for 10 seconds I would choose Techno Gears - their stuff is far from cute and charming but everything *works*
